Gobble Gobble!

Just a quick note to those few I haven't lost through my low posting days. I want to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving (if you are in the U.S.) and a very happy Thursday if your are in some other wonderful place.

On the health front. I started taking Ambien and I think it may be working. My brother has tried to wake me twice on two different mornings and was not able to. While that may mean that I'm sleeping soundly...I'm not sure I like being that out of it. I guess I'll take what I can get. Also I'm not going to try to fool myself about eating less on thanksgiving...I plan to enjoy myself and on monday I plan to start taking a daily walk at a near by park. I'm hoping that I'll be able to work up the stamina to walk and jog a little. I remember that the times I've been able to lose weight effectivly I was jogging. I'm running out of ideas but I will not give up.

Thanks again everyone. have a beautiful day!

Sean

I tried jogging. Did it after losing a lot of weight and doing a lot of biking. It still killed my knees. It sounds like your knees are in better shape than mine though, so it might not wreck you like it did me.

I've been sympathising with your slow weight loss. Mine has slowed down massively. I'm 15lbs from my goal weight, and I'm having a rough time keeping the weight loss up. They say the last 20 is the hardest, and darned if the previous haven't been WORK.

I'm still reading though. You've got a voice, sir, you just need to keep using it. Unfortunately, it's tough to be creative when your evergy levels are hampered, and lack of sleep is probably the most detrimental thing to energy levels.

You'll get there, brother! You've got some great things to be thankful for too =)

How lovely to catch up after a break and hear about making your way through the beginning of the holidays. I always find the end of the year to be a time when all that's important is slowing down and finding a little quiet time. All that rarely translates into keeping a regular schedule of the things I usually do, but in the end, the "low tide" ebbs seem to keep me moving in the right direction overall. How great to hear that everyone swaps out schedules from time to time. I suppose it's what reminds us that we're actually beings rather than machines or programmable units.
I hope your final month of 2006 is a great one, for all that you use it for. In case it's easy to forget, allow me to say out loud what an amazing transformation it is that you've started this year. Wow, wow, wow. ~m~

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. I didn't do all that bad on Thanksgiving but the next day with all the left overs I was doomed. Hope you did better than me.

glad to hear that the drugs are helping you get some desperately needed sleep... thats probably why your bro couldnt wake you - your body was trying to catch up while it could and went into a super-deep sleep. maybe that wont be a problem in the future.

im with you - its really hard to watch very closely what you eat on holidays like thanksgiving... i slipped pretty heavily this weekend myself. but i enjoyed the holiday, and thats what counts. hope you enjoyed yours.

now, its monday. my break is over, back to working towards the loss. personally, my loss has been rather stagnant for the last month and a half or so... no good... managed to lose 21 lbs btwn july and october... and have been hovering there ever since. still have 14 to go to hit my goal... work to do!
